It’s not an easy task to understand and accept tastes of authenticity without much to compare from (like authentic:authentic and authentic:imitation), but it is easy to keep your taste buds liberal. For most cases, trial and error is your sure bet, but if you have the time and money to burn it’s worth the trip to head to its origin. Other than that, with a little social push and tug, traditional family house cooking is phenomenal (family house cooking + origin = authentic or agritourism). Besides, the word is more of a guideline than a definitive terminology.
